Mercy Ministry

Mercy Ministry seeks to spur the Good News Church community to love and serve our families, church and neighbors. We will do this by stopping, looking and listening as the Samaritan did to the needs around us, identifying our spiritual gifts and resources, partnering with serving organizations and creating mission groups.

how many members are you currently?
Currently there are about 15 members in this ministry.

what are your favorite memories w/this ministry?
One of our Mercy Ministry meetings was spent on a grassy lawn in Central Park. We spent some time sharing life with one another and I was blessed by the mercy we could share with one another.

what kind of person would be good for this ministry?
We are all ministers of mercy and volunteer our time, energy and/or resources to those in need; however members of this ministry have gifts in areas such as encouragement, hospitality, administration and accounting.

why did you join this ministry?
I’m in this ministry because I was shown mercy through Christ’s work in my life and I want to encourage mercy in others
